Capitulo 7

Maria was in her usual lunch spot. She expected nothing from Paul She knew that he wouldn't show up. After all, he was popular and she wasn't.
She waited for him and wasn't surprised when he didn't show up. She was a little bit disappointed, but not surprised.
She started packing her stuff after 15 minutes and was startled when she saw a familiar figure in the school parking lot.
"Maria!?! Hey what's up?"
"Chris?!?!?! What are you doing here?"
"Nothing much. Just thought to see how you were. You're OK, right? You won't pass out in front of me right now? I mean, if you are just let me know. I need a heads up." Chris said with a laugh.
Maria couldn't help it, so she laughed too.
"I'm fine. Don't worry. I won't pass out...I think."
Chris's face turned white.
"You really scared me last night, Maria. I didn't know what to do. I thought that I did something and I wasn't aware of it." Chris was serious.
"Chris, hey Chris" Maria said because Chris was shaking and his eyes were tearing up.
"Don't worry, OK. I'm fine. You don't have to worry. See?" Maria was smiling and holding her hands at either side of Chris's face.
"What happened to you, Maria? Why do you pass out so often? You're practically best friends with the paramedics."
"I can't tell you that, Chris." Maria said as she started crying, shaking and remembering.
"Hey, Maria. It's OK. You don't have to say anything, all right? I was just worried about you." Chris took Maria in his arms, hugged her and made her calm down and stop shaking. She was still crying.
"I can't tell you that Chris, I'm sorry." Maria kept repeating over and over.
Chris held her until she calmed down.
"Hey, you know what?" Chris asked Maria with a smile on his face.
"What?"
" I have NEVER felt about anyone else the way that I feel about you. I hope you don't mind me saying this, but I have a connection with you, that I never had with anybody ever before. The other Chris wouldn't even care about you,but ever since you opened the door yesterday. I can't help it. Gosh, was it all yesterday. i feel like it's been forever ago."
"Chris, stop it, you're babbling. And I feel strangely the same way. Although, I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to that stuff."
"If I try something, do you promise you won't hit me or faint on me or do anything rash."
"I promise"
Chris slowly leaned in to kiss Maria. His lips touched hers and firework went off in Maria's head. She was the one that leaned into him. The force of their kiss made them lean against Chris's car. Maria never experienced something like this before.
" Hey Maria."
She heard someone calling from behind her. 'If it's Miranda, I'm gonna kill her.' Maria thought.
Chris slowly made their lips separate and told Maria to turn around.
When Maria turned around, she saw that it wasn't Miranda.
It was Paul. Standing with crutches and a cast on his foot.
"Hey, he said." With a hurt look on his face.
